tough times

   So many are ready to pull the trigger.  I remember a few years ago a proud Ohio mama told me her son finished high school, joined the army and was driving a tank in Europe somewhere.  She spoke as if he were learning a skill for the future.  I hope not.
    I remember boot camp in the Navy.  I got to skip most everything but had one hour on the rifle range and did average, maybe poorly.  I was happy to lead the choir for the ten weeks  of boot camp.  We marched around and sang songs.   There were no casualties
