Morse code

our phone number had four digits

somehow you could dial long distance

with help from the operator

Heinie Kinsel was the Morse code operator.

he rode a bicycle to work,

and repaired them at home on Adams Avenue.

his part of the village was called Oklahoma;

probably because it was out west of town.

he worked at the train station.

i'd been there

only for looking around.

i'm sure someone told me

to get out of there.

trains would go whizzing by.

i don't know what messages were

sent and received by Morse Code.
